You're the guy people lean on.
You handle it. At work, at home, for everybody. From the outside it looks like you've got it together. But when it's your turn, who do you actually talk to?
Success that feels lonely
You've built something real. You still feel like you're on an island with it.
Pressure with nowhere to go
It leaks out as a short fuse at home, a few too many drinks, or just going quiet.
Relationships on autopilot
Your marriage, your kids, your friends. You show up, but you're not really there.
The stuff you don't say out loud
Purpose, fear, anger, grief, what you actually want. Things most men never put words to.
Every man is carrying something no one else can see.
Most of the fights men face don't look like fights. Work that never really lets up. A home that's gone quiet around you. Losses you never talked about. Anger with nowhere to go. The voice that says you're not enough. You learned to handle it the way most men do: stay guarded, push through, don't let anyone see it get to you.
That got you this far. But no one can live in fight mode forever. The guard that protected you starts keeping out the people you love. Always being "on" turns into anxiety. Toughness turns into distance.
The garden is what comes after. Not pretending the hard stuff didn't happen, but learning a different way of being, built on three things.
Alignment
Getting clear on what matters most and who you want to be. Your values, not the expectations you inherited or the armor you built. Then living from that center, on purpose.
Awareness
Seeing what's actually going on inside you. The lessons the battles taught you, the grief you've carried quietly, the reactions that fire before you choose them. You can't change what you can't see.
Action
Turning it into how you show up: at home, at work, with the men around you. Small, committed steps toward what matters, especially when it's hard.
The warrior doesn't disappear in the garden. His strength is still there. It just gets to tend something instead of always attacking or defending.
Iron sharpens iron.
A different way of being isn't something you think your way into alone. It comes slowly, alongside other men, the way most things worth having do.
Real
No polished versions. The highs and lows of who we are, brought into the open alongside men navigating the same ground.
Being known
Over twelve weeks, other men come to know you beyond the role you play. For a lot of men, it's the first time in years.
Letting things go
Old habits and reactions that once protected you and don't anymore. Some of it falls away on its own once it's been seen.
Growing alongside each other
Every man gives something and receives something. Watching another man change has a way of making room for your own.
Nothing scripted
No lessons or PowerPoints. What we work on comes from the men in the group.
The same men
A closed group from start to finish, so trust has time to take root.
Steady, not forced
75 minutes every Wednesday for twelve weeks. Small, consistent care adds up.
What men tend to walk away with.
- You walk in the door at night and you're actually there, not still at work in your head.
- You can name what you're feeling before it comes out sideways at the people you love.
- You've finally said out loud the thing you've carried alone for years, and nothing fell apart.
- You have a handful of men who know the real you, not the highlight reel.
- You know what you stand for, and you're starting to live like it.

The questions guys actually ask.
Almost every man who joins a group has asked at least one of these. Most ask all of them.
I'm not really a "group" guy.
Most men in group would have said the same thing. That's kind of the point. You don't need to be a big talker. You need to be willing to show up and be honest when you're ready. The guys who log on most skeptical are often the ones who get the most out of it.
Is this a veterans group?
No. It's for any man carrying more than he lets on: business owners, executives, dads, guys in the middle of a divorce or a career change. Veterans are welcome, and so is the man who's never served but has been fighting his own battles for years. The warrior in the name is a metaphor for the strength you've built, not a military requirement.
Isn't this just sitting around talking about feelings?
It's not a vent session, and it's not a support group where everyone just nods. It's direct. Men give each other real feedback, push back, and call things out when they see them. You'll talk about what's going on in your life, and you'll also work on what happens right there in the group: how you come across, where you shut down, where you take over. That's where the change happens.
I'm doing fine. My stuff isn't bad enough for this.
You don't have to be falling apart. Most men in this group are functioning, often at a high level. They're also stretched thin, short with the people they love, quietly anxious, or not sure what it's all for anymore. If you've ever thought "I should have this handled," you're in the right place.
Isn't asking for help a sign of weakness?
Every serious athlete has a coach. Every serious leader has people around him who tell him the truth. Being honest with other men about where you're at takes more nerve than pretending you've got it all figured out. That's what sharpening is: letting other men work on your edge.
Does group actually work over video?
Yes. You still see every face, hear every voice, and get real feedback in real time. For a lot of men, joining from their own space makes it easier to open up, and there's no commute eating into your evening.
Do I need my camera on? Where should I be?
Camera on, from a private space where no one can overhear: a home office, a parked car, a closed door. Not while driving, and not with family in the room. You'll need to be physically in Texas during sessions. We use a secure video link and send it before session 1.
What actually happens on the first night?
Nothing dramatic. We go over the group agreement, everyone introduces themselves in their own words, and we start getting to know each other. Nobody is going to make you tell your life story. Most guys are nervous the first night. That fades faster than you'd think.
What if I don't want to talk?
You won't be put on the spot or forced to share anything. You decide what you bring in and when. Showing up and listening is how it starts.
Do I have to talk about my marriage, my past, or the heavy stuff?
Only what you choose to. You're in control of what you share. That said, the men who get the most out of group tend to go a little further than feels comfortable, once they're ready.
What if I know someone in the group, or someone finds out I'm in it?
We screen for that. If there's a conflict, we'll talk it through before the group starts. Every member signs a confidentiality agreement: what's said in group, and who's in it, stays there. No recording, no screenshots. We go over exactly what that means, and its limits, during your intake.
Why pay to talk to strangers instead of seeing a therapist one-on-one?
One-on-one is great for a lot of things. But it can't show you how you actually come across with other men. In group you get feedback from several guys instead of one, you see yourself in other men's stories, and you practice being honest in real time. It also costs less per session than individual therapy. Plenty of men do both.
I don't have time for this.
It's 75 minutes on Wednesday evenings, from wherever you are in Texas. No drive, no waiting room. Fair question to ask yourself: what is carrying all of this alone already costing you?
What if I miss a week?
Life happens, but this group only works if men show up for each other. You're committing to all 12 weeks, and missed sessions are still charged. If you already know about a conflict, bring it up on your screening call.
Can I join after it starts?
No. It's a closed group, with no new members after week 2. If enrollment has closed, we'll add you to the waitlist for the next cohort.
Is this therapy or coaching? Do you take insurance?
It's group therapy, led by TJ, LPC Associate, under clinical supervision. PTP is private pay, so we don't bill insurance. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Can I keep seeing my own therapist?
Yes. Group works well alongside individual therapy.
What if it turns out it's not for me?
That's what the screening call and intake are for. We'll be straight with you about whether group is the right fit right now, and if it's not, we'll point you to what is.
What if I'm in a really dark place right now?
Group isn't the right place for an active crisis. If you're in danger right now, call or text 988 or call 911. Reach out to us too, and we'll help you find the right level of support first.
