You show up for everyone.
Most dads who reach out aren't falling apart. They're tired of running on fumes and want to be more present at home without dropping the ball at work.
- You're physically home but your head is still at the office.
- You snap at your kids or your partner, then feel bad about it later.
- You're the one everyone leans on, and there's nobody you lean on.
- You hit the goals and still feel restless, flat or angry.
- You're going through a divorce, co-parenting or a blended family, and handling it alone.
- You'd rather fix a problem than talk about it, and this one won't get fixed.

A counselor who's a dad, too.
TJ spent nearly a decade in corporate finance, winning on paper while losing touch with his own sense of purpose. That's why he became a therapist. He's also a former collegiate athlete and a dad, so he knows the pull between ambition and being present.
Today he works with high-performing men, dads, athletes and teen boys. Sessions are direct and practical, grounded in ACT and existential therapy: get clear on what you value, see your patterns before they run the show, and make specific changes at home and at work.
"As a father, I understand the tension between ambition and presence." — TJ
"TJ is a sharp therapist & truly gets it! Ideal fit for high-performing men & teens struggling emotionally."

What dads work on with TJ.
Sessions stay tied to real situations: the fight last night, the decision at work, the thing you haven't said to anyone.
- Stress and burnout: running hard at work with nothing left at home
- Anger and patience: reacting less and responding more with your kids
- Being present: actually being there when you're there
- Your relationship: feeling like roommates, or fighting about the same things
- Big transitions: a new baby, divorce, co-parenting or a blended family
- Parenting a teen son: staying connected while he figures out who he is

Common questions.
Do dads really go to therapy?
Yes, more than you'd think. Many dads come in because they want to be more patient, more present or less stressed, not because something is broken. You don't need a crisis or a diagnosis. Wanting to be a better version of yourself for your family is reason enough.
I don't have time. How do I fit therapy in?
Start with the free 20-minute consult. After that, many dads use telehealth so there's no drive and no waiting room, and sessions fit before work, at lunch or after the kids are in bed. We'll talk through what fits your week.
Can my teen see a counselor here too?
Yes. We work with teens on anxiety, school and sports pressure, friendships and big emotions. Your sessions and your teen's sessions stay separate, so each of you has your own space. We can bring everyone together for a family session when that would help.
Will anyone know I'm in therapy?
Not from us. PTP is private pay and doesn't bill insurance, so nothing goes to an insurer or employer plan. What you share is protected by confidentiality laws, with standard legal exceptions such as a risk of serious harm, and we walk through those in your first session.
Can my partner and I come in together?
Yes. We offer couples sessions as well as individual work. Some dads start on their own and bring their partner in later. We'll help you figure out the right starting point during your consult.
