Is it a phase, or something more?
Today's teens carry a lot: grades, sports, college plans, group chats and the constant feeling of being compared. Some shut down. Others push harder until something gives. As a parent, it's hard to know when to step in and how to help without making it worse.
- Avoiding school, practice or friends
- Stomachaches, headaches or trouble sleeping
- Perfectionism, meltdowns or irritability
- Pulling away from the family or living in their room
- Losing interest in things they used to love
- Grades slipping, or pushing so hard they can't rest

Common questions.
What ages do you work with?
We work with teens in middle school and high school, as well as college students. Younger kids and their parents can also start with a free consult so we can talk through the right fit.
Will I know what my teen talks about?
Your teen needs a space that feels like theirs, and you need to know enough to help. At the start we explain how confidentiality works for both of you, including the limits, and we keep you in the loop on what you need to know to support them at home.
What if my teen doesn't want to go?
That's very common. Many teens expect to be lectured or judged. We start by building trust and talking about what matters to them, whether that's school, sports, friends or just getting their parents off their back. The free consult is a low-pressure way to see if it fits.
Can my teen have sessions online?
Yes. Telehealth is available anywhere in Texas, and in-person sessions are in League City. Many teens like meeting from home, and some families mix online and in-person sessions around school and practice.
Do you take insurance?
PTP is private pay and doesn't bill insurance, so no claim or diagnosis goes to an insurer. Sessions are $150 to $250, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted. We give you a written good faith estimate before you start.
