Therapy for busy moms in League City and Houston.

Therapy for moms is a place where you don't have to hold everything together for an hour. It's for mothers who run the house, the schedule, the job and everyone's feelings, and who quietly feel anxious, worn out or lost under all of it. At PTP, Linda Rodriguez works with moms in person in League City or by telehealth anywhere in Texas, in English or Spanish. Your first 20-minute consult is free.

Sound familiar?

You take care of everyone.

Most moms who reach out aren't in a crisis. They're tired of carrying it all alone, and they're ready for an hour that's actually for them.

  • You're the one who remembers everything, and nobody remembers to ask how you're doing.
  • You're short with your kids or your partner, then lie awake feeling guilty about it.
  • You love your family and still miss the person you were before the carpool line.
  • Your mind keeps running the to-do list long after the house goes quiet.
  • You're worried about your teen and don't know how to reach them anymore.
  • You keep saying you'll deal with it after this busy season. The busy season never ends.

Meet Linda

A counselor who gets it.

Counselor. Mom. Bilingual educator.

Linda spent more than six years as a bilingual educator in Clear Creek ISD, where she was named Teacher of the Year at Brookwood Elementary (2021 to 2022) and received the City of Webster's Thank a Teacher Spotlight Award in 2022. She knows Bay Area families, schools and the weight moms carry because she's lived it.

Today she works with women, mothers, teens and children who look like they have it all together while carrying anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, relationship strain or a big life change. Her sessions are warm, judgment-free and practical, in English, Spanish or both.

"Even the strongest women need a place where they don't have to be strong all the time."

"Linda is an angel on earth with the most pure and genuine heart… Truly a listener and can relate to the weights of being a mother which makes opening up so easy."

What moms work on

What moms work on with Linda.

Linda's approach is person-centered, drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and solution-focused therapy. In plain terms: you set the pace, we get curious about the different parts of you that pull in different directions, and we focus on small, practical steps that work in your real life.

  • Anxiety and the mental load: the constant planning, worrying and never switching off
  • Burnout and mom guilt: running on empty while feeling like you should be doing more
  • Losing yourself: identity after kids, after going back to work, or after staying home
  • Relationship strain: feeling like roommates or carrying more than your share
  • Big transitions: a new baby, a move, divorce, co-parenting or a blended family
  • Parenting a teen: staying close while they pull away
Help for your teen, too

Worried about your teen?

Many parents reach out for themselves and for a teenager at the same time. We work with teens on anxiety, school and sports pressure, friendships and big emotions, with parents in the loop.

Questions

Common questions.

Is therapy for moms only for postpartum depression?

No. Many moms reach out years after having kids, when the mental load, burnout or a family change starts to feel like too much. You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis. If you're carrying more than you can hold on your own, that's reason enough to talk with someone.

I barely have time to shower. How do I fit therapy in?

Start small. The free 20-minute consult takes less time than school pickup. After that, many moms use telehealth so there's no drive and no waiting room. We'll talk through what fits your week during the consult.

Can my teen see a counselor here too?

Yes. We work with teens on anxiety, school and sports pressure, friendships and big emotions. Your sessions and your teen's sessions stay separate, so each of you has your own space. We can bring everyone together for a family session when that would help.

Can I have sessions in Spanish?

Yes. Linda is bilingual and works in English, Spanish or a mix of both. Many families use both languages at home, and you can use whichever one helps you express yourself best.

Do you take insurance?

PTP is private pay and doesn't bill insurance, so no claim or diagnosis goes to an insurer or employer plan. Sessions are $150 to $250, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted. We give you a written good faith estimate before you start.
